County Players, one of the longest running community theatre companies in the area is proud to present the sweeping musical tapestry Big Fish, which opens May 2 and runs through May 18. With music and lyrics by Andrew Lippa and book by John August, the musical is based on the 1998 novel by Daniel Wallace and the 2003 film written by John August and directed by Tim Burton.
This production is directed by Michael J. Frohnhoefer with musical direction by Karen Dalmer-Sheehy and choreography by Mary Beth Boylan. Performances are scheduled for Fridays and Saturdays (May 2, 3, 9, 10, 16 and 17) at 8 p.m., with matinees at 2 p.m. on Sundays (May 11 and 18 and Saturday, May 17 (there will be two shows on May 17).

This larger-than-life musical is a fantastical adventure inspired by a fathers incredible stories. "Big Fish" tells the story of Edward Bloom, a charming traveling salesman who lives life to its fullest, and then some. Overflowing with heart and humor, "Big Fish" is an extraordinary story that reminds us why we love going to the theatre, and a buoyant feel-good show for the whole family.
