Get ready for a one-of-a-kind theater experience, as Bannerman Castle on Pollepel Island provides the perfect setting for performances of "Dracula: The Journal of Jonathan Harker."

Sent to Castle Dracula to deliver deeds to the infamous Count, Jonathan Harker has no idea what he’s getting himself into in this tour-de-force thrill ride, directed by Christian Conn and starring Duane Boutté, who portrays Jonathan Harker along with nine other characters in a tour de force performance. The show is performed in front of the Bannerman Residence (the smaller castle).

Performances are scheduled for Sept. 23, 24, 25, 26 and 28 and Oct. 1 and 2.

The event includes your round-trip cruise to and from the Pollepel Island on The Bannerman Castle Trust’s Estuary Steward tour boat. The 6 p.m. cruise includes a tour before the show about the island. The 7 p.m. cruise will enjoy a lecture about the island after the show ends.

There is a full-service concession stand/gift shop that is fully stocked with snacks and sandwiches, as well as water, soft drinks and non-alcoholic beverages.
