Destination Dutchess has extended the nomination deadline for the 12th Annual Tourism Awards of Distinction, giving community members, businesses and organizations additional time to shine a spotlight on the exceptional individuals and businesses who help make Dutchess County a premier travel destination. Nominations will now be accepted through Sunday, July 21, 2025.
“Successful tourism is truly a team effort, and these awards give us the opportunity to shine a light on the remarkable contributions of the individuals, businesses and organizations who make Dutchess County a welcoming and inspiring place to visit,” said Melaine Rottkamp, president and CEO of Destination Dutchess. “We encourage everyone to nominate a tourism partner in Dutchess County who continues to innovate, grow and go above and beyond to create memorable visitor experiences, contributing to the vibrancy of our community and local economy.” She also noted that self-nominations are welcome.
Nominations are accepted in the following categories for tourism-related attractions and experiences in Dutchess County:

Last year’s honorees included outstanding businesses and individuals from across Dutchess County’s tourism landscape, such as Dassai Blue Sake Brewery in Hyde Park, Grupo Folklórico de Poughkeepsie’s La Guelaguetza de Poughkeepsie, and Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome in Red Hook.
Winners will be announced at the 12th Annual Tourism Awards of Distinction breakfast, Thursday, November 13, 2025, at The Henry A. Wallace Visitor and Educational Center at the FDR Presidential Library and Museum in Hyde Park, N.Y. Tickets will go on sale later this year. Local businesses are invited to show their support for the tourism industry by becoming event sponsors.
